Miley Ray Cyrus è nata nel Franklin, Tennessee, nell'area metropolitana di Nashville il 23 Novembre 1992. Il padre, Billy Ray Cyrus, è un famoso cantante country e sua madre,Leticia Cyrus,sostiene la figlia lavorando,anche, come sua manager. Ha due fratelli, Trace e Braison, due sorelle, Noah e Brandi. Il vero nome di Miley è Destiny Hope (tradotto in italiano "destino" e "speranza"), perché i genitori pensavano che avrebbe fatto sempre le cose in grande…successivamente è stato modificato in Miley Ray, “Miley” derivante dal soprannome"Smiley"(sorriso in lingua inglese),e “Ray” dal secondo nome del padre. Ha ricevuto il suo primo ruolo da sostituta nel 2003, recitando di fronte a suo padre nella serie TV "Doc". Dopo è comparsa negli episodi di altre esposizioni. Successivamente nello stesso anno, ha avuto il suo debutto nel grande schermo in "Big Fish", interpretando Ruthie da piccola. All'età di undici anni Miley si presentò al provino per la parte della "migliore amica" Lilly Truscott, ma inizialmente fu giudicata "troppo piccola" dalla Disney che, in un secondo momento, d'accordo con il vice presidente di Disney Channel Gary Marsh, decise di affidarla il ruolo di “Miley Stewart”,alter ego della pop-star Hannah Montana. Nell' Ottobre 2007 è partito il suo primo tour "Best of Both Worlds" per tutta l'America, accompagnata dai Jonas Brothers e dalla sua numerosa famiglia. E' uscito recentemente il suo nuovo album "Breakout", che contiene molte canzoni scritte da lei stessa,alcune cover .L'album ha riscontrato un grandissimo successo ed è stato in vetta alle classifiche per settimane. Nel 2009, verrà trasmessa su Disney Channel la terza stagione di Hannah Montana e successivamente vi sarà l'uscita del film. Lei è sempre stata vista come una persona che "ama ogni minuto della sua vita".
